# Express Checkout: Review Your Order

## Overview
Express Checkout (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link and PayPal) lets customers pay in one tap. Wallets only share a partial address, usually just a ZIP or postcode, state and country. Shipping rates from carriers such as UPS or USPS depend on the full street address, so the rate shown in the wallet can differ from the final one.

**Review Your Order** adds a short confirmation page before the order is placed. Customers see the final price and agree to it before they are charged. Nothing is charged until they confirm.

## What customers see
The review page shows everything about the order in one place:

- **Contact email** for the order confirmation.
- **Payment method**, for example "Visa ending 4242 via Google Pay", "Link" or "PayPal".
- **Ship To and Bill To addresses**, side by side.
- **Selected shipping method.**
- **Full basket** with images, quantities, discounts, and a clear breakdown of shipping, tax and total.
- A plain statement of the final amount: "Your order total will be €9.00".

## Confirm, change or cancel
- **Confirm and Place Order** completes the purchase.
- **Cancel** returns the customer to their basket without being charged.
- **Edit buttons** (a pencil icon) sit next to the email, payment method, addresses, shipping method and basket. Each takes the customer to the right step of the normal checkout, with their details already filled in. If a security check still needs completing, they start from the first step.

## When the page appears
The review page appears only when it is needed, so one tap stays one tap for most orders:

- **Carrier shipping rates.** The page appears when the shipping rate comes from a carrier integration, because the rate can change once the full address is known.
- **Totals that change.** If the final shipping or tax differs from what the wallet showed, the customer sees the review instead of an error, and can agree to the new total.
- **Always show.** Store owners can switch on a new setting for Stripe and PayPal that shows the page on every express order.
- **Stores that charge the recalculated cost.** Stores that already charge the recalculated costs automatically skip the page.

## Smoother, safer express orders
- **No security check on express orders.** Express orders no longer ask for the captcha, once the payment method has been verified with Stripe or PayPal. Tax is calculated on the review page, so the total is correct.
- **Clearer messages.** If a wallet payment needs extra authentication that Express Checkout cannot complete, customers get a clear message and are sent to regular checkout, with nothing charged.
- **PayPal orders** update to the final shipping and tax when the customer confirms.

## For store staff
Orders placed through Express Checkout record how they were paid, for example "Express Checkout: Google Pay, Visa 4242" or "Express Checkout: Link". It appears next to the payment plugin on the order, so staff can tell express orders apart.

# Loyalty Points and Tiers

Reward your customers for coming back. **Loyalty Points** lets your store give customers points for what they buy and for actions that matter to you, then lets them spend those points as money off. **Tiers** add status levels with better benefits, so your best customers feel looked after.

## Earning points

Customers earn points on every order at a rate you set for each currency, based on what they actually pay after discounts. You can also offer:

- A **welcome bonus** for joining, straight away or after a first order
- A **mailing list bonus** for joining your mailing list, on supported integrations
- A **birthday bonus**. Customers choose their birthday once, so it cannot be gamed

What a customer will earn is shown on product pages, in the basket, at checkout and on the order confirmation.

## Spending points

Customers use their points as a discount in the basket or at checkout. You set the rules: a minimum number of points, the steps points can be used in, and the most of an order that points can pay for. If an order is cancelled or refunded, the points are put right automatically.

## My Rewards page

Every member gets a page in their account with their balance, what it is worth, rewards waiting to be claimed, their activity, how the program works and how close they are to the next tier. Claiming a reward is a small moment of delight.

## Joining and expiry

Choose how customers join: **automatically**, by **opting in**, or only when **your team signs them up**.

Points can also expire, either after a period of inactivity or on a rolling basis with the oldest points first. Customers are warned before their points expire.

## Tiers

Create up to ten tiers, for example Bronze to Platinum, and name them your own way. A customer reaches a tier by earning lifetime points, by buying it, or either. Benefits build as customers move up:

- Extra points on every order
- Points that are worth more when spent
- Free or discounted shipping, with a minimum order and methods you can exclude
- Points that never expire
- A bonus for reaching the tier

**Paid tiers** are bought at checkout with a product you choose, and last for as long as you set. A tier can ask for a lower tier first, so a brand new customer cannot jump straight to your top tier. Tiers never go down because a customer spent their points.

## For your team

A **Loyalty Points** area in your store manager lists every customer with their tier and points, with a full activity log you can search and filter. Open any customer to see their tier, expiry and recent activity, give or remove a tier, add points with a reason, or log in as the customer. Every change is recorded with who made it.
